So do NOT eat.
potting my newly arrived plant
Unpack your Premium Plant and set her in your growing area; for at least one day. Keep from direct sunlight. This insures your Plant acclimates.
After potting in your soil of choice, do not water for 5 - 10 days. No matter how gentle we are, the root will have sustained micro damage. This wait give your new Plant time to heal its roots.
Gradually expose your Plant to full sun or a bright shade! The choice is yours depending on how you want your Plant to form.
soil
Hidden from our sight, soil is your Plant's entire world. Roots communicate with beneficial fungi and microbes that then process complex nutrients and minerals into simple, readily absorbable forms for the Plant.
The more organic your soil, the bigger your plant will grow; Fatter and faster. While mineral-based soils grow Plants that are ‘stronger’ and compact with a natural appearance. Choose big and showy, or Hard and tough. How you wish to grow is up to you!
Keep in mind that fertile soils develop plants with sensitive roots compared to those grown in mineral grits. In mineral-based soil, your cacti will grow strong roots along with a strong soil microbiota Relationship.
water
Water as much as you like. Every 3 days? Every Week? Once a month? It’s your Plant!
When you water, the plant’s cells absorb as much as they can. When you water frequently, plant cells swell, and your cactus is forced to produce more for further storage. The more water, the bigger your plant will become. Watering only when necessary, your Plant will have the size and appearance of a habitat specimen. A good rule is to give the Plant a dry period every once in a while.
fertilizers
Cacti and succulents do not need much fertilizer. In fact, too much is detrimental to your plant’s health, causing fast, weak growth.
Cells grow large from abundant feeding and become more susceptible to parasites, sunburn, and fungal attacks. Less is more when fertilizing. You can use an extremely diluted amount with every watering or a light feed once every month. Remember, these are xerophytes, molded by nature to be survivors in the harshest conditions.
light
Filtered sun will give a bigger plant. This is because sunlight is a growth inhibitor. Shaded cells grow longer and divide fatter. Plants developed in shade have fewer spines and/or tricomes, less protective wax, and are less tolerant to cold. Full sun forces the plant to develop a thicker epidermis, more Ferina, and stronger, farther developed cells entirely. Ultraviolet radiation is essential to the proper development of a cactus or succulent. Think about how you would want your plant to look and pick options based on your aesthetic preferences.
